Scientific studies have identified key nutrients for supporting eye health such as vitamin A, riboflavin, zinc, omega 3 fatty acids, lutein and zeaxanthin, many of which are lacking in the diets of adults 50+. Good nutrition helps maintain healthy vision from the inside out.
Vision Support combines targeted vitamins, minerals and antioxidants with omega 3 fatty acids, delivered in a two-part daily dose to protect and support the eyes as we age.
Supports clear, healthy vision – with retinol (vitamin A), riboflavin (vitamin B2), and zinc, essential nutrients often lacking in 50+ diets but are important for normal vision, helping to protect against cell damage and age-related diseases.
Protects the macula with lutein and zeaxanthin – lutein and zeaxanthin are antioxidant-rich carotenoids naturally found in the macula – the vital centre of the retina – where they act as a natural ‘sunblock’, filtering harmful blue light to prevent cell damage.
Supports a healthy retina with omega 3 fatty acids – with omega 3 DHA, a fatty acid and structural component of the retina that constantly needs to be topped up from our diets to maintain clear and healthy vision.
Protects eye cells against oxidative stress – Antioxidants such as vitamin E, selenium also help protect eyes from cellular damage caused by light exposure.

The Healthy Ageing Blend
Most supplements in the Prime Fifty range include our Healthy Ageing Blend: important vitamins and minerals often lacking in 50+ diets, according to UK diet and nutrition data.
The blend includes vitamin D to support bones, muscles and immunity, B vitamins for energy and a healthy heart, zinc for immune and cognitive support, antioxidants to help protect cells from oxidative stress, and chromium for healthy blood sugar balance. Where possible, these important nutrients are always added, no matter which health area you’re targeting.
Together with BioPerine®, a patented black pepper extract shown to support absorption, these nutrients build a strong foundation for your health as you age.

The fatty acid DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) is a key building block for eye structure. DHA is highly concentrated in the retina, where it’s important for clear vision. It gets continually used and oxidised and so needs constant replenishment.
Research has found that healthy eyes contain high levels of nutrients called lutein and zeaxanthin, types of carotenoid that can filter damaging, high-energy blue wavelength light by as much as 90 percent. These are found in the macula, a tiny part of the eye at the centre of the retina used for distinguishing colours, fine detail, and central vision – vital for activities like reading, writing and driving.
Lutein and zeaxanthin are powerful antioxidants, protecting eyes from issues linked to oxidative stress such as fatigue, and age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Although we can top up lutein and zeaxanthin from eggs, dark leafy greens like kale, and brightly coloured fruit and veg like carrots and corn, many of us aren’t getting enough of these essential nutrients.

How long until I feel a benefit?
