Hyaluronic acid (HA), also known as hyaluronan, is a naturally occurring molecule found in our skin, eyes, and joints which declines with age.
It has a powerful ability to hold onto moisture in the skin, with a single molecule holding up to 1,000 times its own weight in water.
About half of the HA in our bodies is found in the skin, where it acts like a sponge to keep skin hydrated and prevent wrinkle appearance.
