“The less I did, the less I wanted to do”
Dav Kumar has always been a busy man. Based in County Durham, he’s the managing director of an equally busy insurance company. But at 54, he started to feel different.
“I was feeling lethargic,” says Dav. “I hadn’t been as active as usual, and the less I did, the less I wanted to do.”
Feeling low in energy is surprisingly common in people after 50. In fact, feeling tired all the time was the most common challenge that people talked to us about in a Prime Fifty survey of over a thousand people aged 50+ across the UK.
But why is that?
UK diet and nutrition survey data from Public Health England helps explain why. Many people over 50 are falling short of their recommended daily targets for important vitamins, minerals and other nutrients that support daily energy. These include micronutrients like B vitamins, folate, iron, magnesium and co-enzyme Q10.
“I feel much more like my old self”
For Dav, it got to the point where he knew something had to change.
“I decided to take matters in hand. I joined a gym, started working with a personal trainer and cut down on my calorie intake. But I wanted to make sure I was still getting all the important vitamins and minerals I needed in my diet.”
Dav heard about Prime Fifty’s Fighting Fatigue. Designed specifically for the needs of people aged 50 and over, the formula is based on research into UK diets and how our nutritional needs change with age. As well as all those missing nutrients at the right levels, it has extra support from Bioperine®, a patented black pepper extract shown to increase the absorption of vitamins and minerals in the older gut.
“Fighting Fatigue gives me the reassurance I want all in one easy-to-take small multinutrient. I feel much more like my old self. I’m able to exercise well and I have more energy than I used to. I think it’s a superb product. Thank you, Prime Fifty.”
