Ch-Ch-Ch-Chia!

Did you ever receive, or worse yet, give one of these as a gift?  I could never get the darn thing to grow.  My dog, lamb, puppy, sheep, or whatever that thing was, was always bald.   Yes, I even saw Elvis and Brittany versions.  STOP!!!

Well, that appeared to be the only use for quit a long time UNTIL we realized the unique nutritional value of the tiny chia seeds.  They are high in Omega 3 fatty acids, protein, Vitamin B, Calcium, Potassium and fiber.  Admittedly you’d have to eat a whole lot of these to make a huge difference.  But remember, every little bit helps.  They add quite a good crunch to many dishes, too.   I am not kidding!!!
